Albuquerque City Council has New Leadership for the 27th Term
President, Vice President, and COW elected at first Council meeting of 2026.
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Tonight, during the first meeting of the new year, the Albuquerque City Council held elections to determine leadership positions for the 27th City Council. The Council is pleased to announce the election of their fellow members to key leadership roles.
The Council extends its sincere congratulations to these dedicated public servants as they step into their roles to guide the City’s legislative priorities and fiscal oversight for the coming year.
City Council President - Klarissa J. Peña, District 3
