The Albuquerque Police Department released an updated Metro 15 list after consulting with the District Attorney’s Office to identify wanted offenders.

The list includes a murder suspect and an offender wanted for child abuse resulting in death.

“We created the Metro 15 to go after drivers of crime and we have to be confident in the quality of offenders we target,” Interim APD Chief Harold Medina said. “After a change in administration, the Metro 15 operation is up and running and gives us another tool to tackle violent crime in Albuquerque.

A total of 50 offenders have been arrested since the Metro 15 operation began. The Metro 15 Operation is a targeted component of Mayor Keller’s Violence Intervention Program – a proactive effort to attack violent crime from all sides.

The Metro 15 is a working list of the top 15 violent crime offenders in Albuquerque identified by the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office, the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office, the state Office of Superintendent of Insurance, and APD.
