George J. Maloof Memorial Air Park is a safe and convenient facility for the use of remote control airplanes, helicopters and cars.
Located on the West Mesa overlooking Albuquerque, the Park offers the following facilities:
- 700' paved runway
- helicopter area with three 10 ft x 10 ft landing pads
- large shaded area with tables
- BBQ grills
- portable bathrooms
- plenty of parking
The helicopter site uses the same frequency control as the fixed wing runway, so please "pin up" before turning on your transmitter anywhere on the field.
Maloof Air Park is open to all R/C modelers who adhere to the rules and regulations of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA)
The Albuquerque R/C Club (ARCC) offers free flight instruction for helicopters and airplanes. ARCC also sponsors special events. Visit www.arcconline.com to view a calendar of events.
