Transit Access Partnership
Why is this Important?
Even in the age of smartphones and digital navigation tools, not everyone has reliable access to technology. For seniors, low-income riders, and those who simply prefer a physical reference, printed bus schedules remain an important resource. The Transit Access Partnership bridges that gap by allowing riders to request paper schedules from trusted community hubs—ensuring equitable access to transit information for all.
At the same time, this on-demand approach supports our department’s commitment to environmental sustainability. By printing schedules only as needed, we reduce waste, avoid mass-printing brochures that may quickly become outdated, and shrink our overall environmental footprint. It’s a thoughtful balance between accessibility and sustainability—keeping riders informed while being kind to the planet.
