Albuquerque Police Department Records Division
The Records Division is committed to assisting citizens, agencies, and communities with their requests for APD written reports.

Please contact records personnel at 505-768-2020 for the payment process, total charges to expect and how to obtain reports.
Some restrictions may apply and you may be directed to the City Clerk’s Office to request an IPRA.
Request In Person
Walk-In Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm
You can request a copy of an APD police report or background check in person.
There is a fee of $0.50 per page for any report and a flat fee of $5.00 for a background check. We accept cash and checks payable to the City of Albuquerque. We cannot take bills larger than $20.
Request By Phone
Phone hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm
If you request a report by phone, you are able to receive the status of an APD police report.
You will be prompted to send in your payment by mail before the requested report can be sent to you.
Along with your payment, we recommend you include the report number, your contact information, and the mailing address, or email address you would like the report to be sent to; once we have received and processed your payment.
