Employee Assistance Program

Information about the Employee Assistance Program for APD officers.

The CABQ Employee Assistance Program provides brief and solution-focused counseling, crisis intervention, and referral services to City of Albuquerque employees and eligible family members.  Our professional and fully licensed counselors offer assistance with concerns about relationships, grief, parenting, work issues, depression, anxiety, stress, and other issues that may arise.  We also have a reimbursement program for people who are referred to counseling out in the community. We are able to reimburse up to 5 copays (up to $40 each) for mental health treatment for each employee or family member referred every fiscal year.  Also, please note that the details of your discussions with our staff may not be released to anyone without your prior consent. Participation with employee health services and the EAP will not jeopardize your job or career.

We also provide personal training for exercise and strength, body composition analysis, cardiovascular endurance testing, back strengthening, ergonomic assessments, and a variety of health education classes.  We can also provide workshops and training to departments with topics including stress management, conflict resolution, grief processing, team building, and more.  We also have a 24/7 crisis line should an employee or family need immediate assistance in a crisis, and that number is 505-254-3555.

To make an appointment, please call our main number at 505-768-4613.
