Statement on Conviction of Darian Bashir

ALBUQUERQUE – APD Chief Harold Medina issued the following statement in response to today’s conviction of Darian Bashir for the 2019 murder of Jackson Weller:

“This guilty verdict is welcome news for a community that was rocked by this senseless crime in Nob Hill. Our Homicide detectives worked hard, under incredible pressure, to solve this crime. I appreciate the work of everyone involved, including prosecutors who secured a conviction.”
