Narcotics detectives arrest major supplier of drugs at Coronado Park, Ambassador Inn

ALBUQUERQUE – APD narcotics detectives, working with Drug Enforcement Administration agents, today arrested major suppliers of drugs at Coronado Park and the Ambassador Inn.

 

Detectives arrested Thaaer "Mike" Tomasaour on federal drug trafficking charges. Robert Grado was booked on a federal arrest warrant and will be included in Tomasaour's federal indictment. Gilbert Hernandez was also booked on felony drug charges.

 

“These detectives identified a primary supplier of drugs and guns supplied to individuals who frequent Coronado Park and the Ambassador Inn,” APD Chief Harold Medina said. “We will continue to target these criminals who are preying on vulnerable populations and contributing to violent crime in our community.”

 

Undercover detectives successfully purchased large quantities of meth, heroin, Fentanyl pills and firearms from Thaaer Mike Tomasaour. He often trades Fentanyl and other drugs for stolen merchandise brought to him by patrons of these areas.

 

The seizure results of this investigation are as follows:

  • 3 Handguns
  • 4,500 Fentanyl pills
  • 3,008 Grams of Methamphetamine (over 5lbs)
  • 24 GM's of heroin
  • 29 GM's of cocaine
  • several rocks of crack cocaine
  • nearly $10,000.00 Cash
  • 3 Felony warrants cleared
  • 2 Federal warrants cleared
  • 3 Arrests made
