Albuquerque Police have arrested Raymond Cooley, 57, on a burglary warrant.

Mr. Cooley is a Metro 15 offender who has been identified as an individual who continuously commits crimes in the community.

On the evening of March 30, Albuquerque Police officers were able to locate Cooley at a Walmart located at 301 San Mateo Boulevard, S.E. This apprehension marks the 57th arrest since the creation of the Metro 15 program.

Cooley has a lengthy criminal record with past charges including receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle, burglary, larceny, criminal damage to property, assault on a peace officer, and battery.

The Metro 15 Operation is a targeted component of Mayor Keller’s Violence Intervention Program – a proactive effort to attack violent crime from all sides. The Metro 15 is a working list of the top 15 drivers of crime in Albuquerque.
