Man dies two weeks after shooting in SE ABQ

Officers responded on May 8, 2022, to a call of shots fired in the area of Central Ave. and Pennsylvania Rd. S.E. and discovered a white Nissan sedan with a broken back windshield, which had crashed into a fire hydrant on the west side of Pennsylvania just north of Central.

ALBUQUERQUE – Officers responded on May 8, 2022, to a call of shots fired in the area of Central Ave. and Pennsylvania Rd. S.E. Officers discovered a white Nissan sedan with a broken back windshield, which had crashed into a fire hydrant on the west side of Pennsylvania just north of Central.

A male, later identified as Raymond Sedillo, 25, was found in the driver's seat slumped over. He had multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.  Detectives determined that the incident occurred in the Food Market parking lot.

On Saturday May 21, detectives were notified that Mr. Sedillo succumbed to his injuries.  This case will now be investigated by the homicide unit.
