Homicide Investigation: Mountain and San Mateo

ALBUQUERQUE – At 6:45 p.m., officers in the Southeast Area Command responded to 911 call in the area of Mountain Rd and San Mateo Blvd, after witness heard gunshots and then observed a male subject face down on the ground. Officers arrived on scene and found a male subject deceased with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head. The Homicide Unit is on scene conducting an investigation.

Traffic is currently blocked on Mountain Rd from San Mateo to Truman. The media staging area is at the corner of San Mateo Blvd and Mountain Rd.
