Homicide Investigation in Downtown

ALBUQUERQUE – Officers in the Valley Area Command responded to a shooting shortly after 1 a.m. in the area of 6th Street and Copper Ave. N.W. One individual suffered gunshot wounds and is deceased.
Homicide detectives are starting an investigation.
UPDATE:
At 0109 hours, the Shotspotter system registered 12 shots fired at 113 6th St NW. Officers arrived on scene and discovered a deceased male with numerous gunshot wounds. The deceased male was determined deceased on scene and was not transported to hospital.
