Detectives investigating in-custody death

ALBUQUERQUE – The Multi-Agency Task Force is responding to the scene of an in-custody death in Northeast Albuquerque.

Officers responded shortly before 3 a.m. today to a report of an adult male who was attempting suicide at a residence located in the 800 block of La Veta Dr., N.E. As officers arrived, they reported the man stabbed himself, causing life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his wounds.

The incident is being treated as an in-custody death that will be investigated by the Multi-Agency Task Force.
