APD to host first STEM Day for kids

ALBUQUERQUE – The Albuquerque Police Department will be hosting its first STEM Day for kids coming up next month. 

 

From fingerprinting and DNA testing, to the use of drones and robots, STEM plays a critical role in how the Albuquerque Police Department both investigates and solves cases. Through STEM Day, APD plans to show kids the different aspects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics involved in the police department and highlighting careers in the STEM field within APD.

 

The event is free and will be held on June 3, 2022 from 9:00a.m.-3:00p.m. at the Metropolitan Forensic Science Center located at 5360 2nd Street NW. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
