APD SWAT team arrests murder suspect at Four Hills Studios

ALBUQUERQUE – APD officers arrested Angelica Aguilar today for last weekend’s shooting that resulted in the death of Jesus Martinez, Jr., and non-fatal injuries to two women.

 

Aguilar, 28, was arrested this evening by APD SWAT officers at the Four Hills Studios on Central Ave, near Tramway Blvd. Homicide detectives identified Aguilar shortly after the shooting on Aug. 13, 2022, at Dorado Pl. and Central Ave., N.E. She is charged with an open count of murder and two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

 

Detectives determined that Aguilar with a group of men when they approached Martinez and three women and started a confrontation over accusations that one of the women was selling the belongings of another acquaintance. During the fight, Aguilar produced a firearm and fired at the other group. One of the men with Aguilar also fired a weapon.

 

Martinez, 21, was shot in the head and died at the scene. The two women with Martinez who were shot were treated for their injuries at a local hospital.
