APD investigating fatal crash involving pedestrian

ALBUQUERQUE – APD is investigating an overnight fatal crash the resulted in the death of a pedestrian in the area of Copper Ave. and Espejo N.E., near Los Altos Golf Course.

A preliminary investigation indicated that a white 2019 Ram pick-up truck was traveling eastbound on Copper Ave., N.E. shortly before 10 p.m. At the same time, a pedestrian was in the eastbound lanes of Copper. The driver of the pick-up truck struck the pedestrian.

There were no signs of intoxication. The Ram pick-up was sealed pending warrants. The crash is being investigated by the Fatal Team and charges will be pending.
