APD arrests wanted murder suspect

ALBUQUERQUE – APD officers arrested wanted murder suspect, Christopher Wade, based on a tip from the public.

Wade, 31, was arrested late Sunday. He is accused of shooting Dustin Banteah, 43, with a sawed-off shotgun during a fight at the Sun Plaza Apartments, located at 4400 Montgomery Blvd. N.E.

According to witnesses, Wade and Banteah were fighting in an apartment, which moved outside after neighbors attempted to intervene. Wade allegedly shot Banteah with the shotgun he was carrying. Wade fled the scene in his vehicle.
