APD Arrests Man from Shooting at Funeral Home

Correction: The intended target of the shooting was not injured. Another individual was injured.

The Albuquerque Police Department arrested Keon Harris on charges related to last week’s shooting at a funeral home in Southeast Albuquerque.

Harris, 27, is accused of showing up on June 9 at the Daniels Family Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE, and shooting at his cousin, who was not injured. One other person was injured and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit investigated the shooting and identified Harris as the offender. Detectives located Harris today in Southeast Albuquerque where he surrendered peacefully. He was booked on his felony warrant. Police executed a search warrant and located a .45 caliber black semi-automatic handgun.
