APD Arrests 34 Offenders in 8th Anti-Crime Operation

APD completed its eighth city-wide, Anti-Crime Operation, resulting in the arrest of an additional 34 offenders. A total of 356 offenders have been arrested since the start of the operations in August. Officers also recovered 8 firearms and 4 stolen vehicles.

The Anti-Crime Operation was conducted Oct. 27 -31, 2020, as a joint collaboration with State Probation and Parole, who worked with officers and detectives from the Field Services Bureau, Investigative Bureau, and the Special Operations Bureau.

A total of 41 outstanding warrants were cleared, and 16 new felony arrests were made. Three people received citations, rather than arrests, for minor misdemeanor offenses. APD is working with the Metro Detention Center to reduce the number of arrests for minor misdemeanor offenses as a result of recent increases in COVID cases.
