APD employees can arrange to have BSS staff discuss their role within APD and offer assistance with questions. Simply call the main number at (505) 764-1600.  Either way, BSS staff will routinely visit in person with the Area Commanders, and will reach out to department in general regarding BSS.  One member of the BSS is required to sit on the Peer Support Board for a minimum of a one year term as a nonvoting member, as well as one member of BSS is required to sit on the MHRAC Board for a one year term.
