“House of the Pets: All Must Choose,” the long-awaited prequel to Game of Homes pet adoption, is finally back after a six-year hiatus. Pets of Animal Welfare Department (AWD) are seeking adoption spots on the throne of their forever kingdoms.
The “House of the Pets: All Must Choose” event happens this weekend, May 24 and 25, at the Eastside and Westside shelters. Adoption fee is waived, and every adoption gets you a spin of the wheel to win a prize.
All adoptions also include spay or neuter, pet tag, microchip, vaccinations and one free initial vet visit. AWD is also offering one session of free basic dog training.
“Hundreds of adoptable pets are waiting to fill the role of a lifetime,” said Director of Animal Welfare Carolyn Ortega. “Attendees will find their one-of-a-kind costar at AWD’s adoption event. The companionship and unconditional love you will receive are a top award.”
“Lights! Camera! Adoption!” said Mayor Tim Keller. “Let’s make sure our shelter pets get the second act they deserve. It’s also a chance for the community to step in as supporting actors and make a real difference by fostering, volunteering, donating or advocating for shelter pets.”
