Volunteer Opportunities

The New Mexico Veterans Memorial is happy to host volunteers for our Visitor Center and Museum. Volunteers act as greeters and tour guides to the museum. A number of different veteran groups make up our volunteer base.

Volunteer responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with the public as a representative of the park.
  • Becoming knowledgeable on the exhibits and history represented in our collections, sculptures, and memorials.
  • Sharing your knowledge and passion of our local military history with visitors of the park.
  • The majority of the volunteer work can be done while sitting. Work environment is climate controlled and comfortable.
  • Volunteers may also walk through the park--a great way to get your steps in--to engage with members of the public when they visit.
