Make a splash this summer! On Friday, June 20, the Parks & Recreation Department will join the global movement to prevent drowning by offering free swim lessons during the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson at West Mesa Aquatic Center from 9 a.m. to noon.
This exciting worldwide event highlights the lifesaving importance of swim lessons, especially for children, and Albuquerque is diving in as part of a growing commitment to water safety. This is an opportunity for the entire family to come and receive important water safety skills and information.
Lessons are open to toddlers through adults and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis—registration will go live June 7 at noon.
Free 30-minute classes include:
