A multilingual Know Your Rights video campaign designed to help APINH residents better understand basic rights, safety planning, and trusted community resources during encounters involving immigration enforcement or public safety concerns.

Campaign Information
This campaign was made possible by a $19,000 investment through a partnership between the Albuquerque Police Department and the Office of APINH Affairs. The project includes 18 videos across three core themes: family preparedness, what to do if ICE is at your door, and what to do if ICE or law enforcement confronts you in public. These videos are available in six languages: English, Arabic, Chinese, Dari, Thai, and Vietnamese - to reach residents who often face the greatest barriers to written materials, traditional outreach, or English-only public information. They were developed with input from immigrant rights organizations, refugee and resettlement partners, legal advocates, and APINH community groups. The City's legal team has also reviewed and approved the videos. The goal is to provide APINH residents, elders, immigrant families, limited-English-proficient residents, and community partners with an easy way to learn about basic rights and find trusted resources.

Families are asking for trusted information that they can use before a crisis happens. The APINH Know Your Rights videos are not simply educational tools. They are resources for preparedness, protection, dignity, and peace of mind. They help families think ahead, stay calm, and know where to turn for trusted support. Our communities need reliable, multi-lingual resources that meet people where they are.
The APINH Know Your Rights Video Project a community safety resource, a language access tool, and a clear expression of our belief that APINH residents in Albuquerque deserve to be informed, supported, and protected in the languages they speak and with the dignity they deserve. This project reflects the best of what is possible when government and community work together with care and humility.
