Sustainability Specialist Veronica Blount.
Born and raised in New Mexico, Veronica has always had a deep appreciation for the local landscape and environment. With a degree in Environmental Planning and Design from the University of New Mexico and over a decade of experience in landscape architecture, project management, and community-driven projects, she is excited to bring her skills and passion for sustainability to this new role.
Veronica has worked closely on infrastructure projects, park enhancements, and xeriscape initiatives, always striving to create spaces that serve both people and the environment. Outside of work, she has been an active volunteer with organizations like Presbyterian Hospice, Animal Humane New Mexico, and Ronald McDonald House Charities. She also shared her skills as the head garden designer for the Belen Community Garden Committee and has volunteered with the Albuquerque Botanic Garden. She looks forward to collaborating with the community and city departments to help advance Albuquerque’s sustainability goals and make a lasting positive impact on the city she calls home.
