Mayor Tim Keller Honors ABQ Residents with One Albuquerque Award

Jeremiah Ortiz, Bobby Sisneros, Mason Fierro and Chris Calderon were recognized.

August 9, 2019

Today we presented the One Albuquerque Award to four deserving recipients. ▪️Jeremiah Ortiz collected 100 blankets for people who are experiencing homelessness. ▪️ Bobby Sisneros from the City’s Family & Community Services Department stepped up big time during the Senior Games. ▪️ Mason Fierro & Chris Calderon, two construction workers saved a two-month old baby and toddler during an apartment fire. We’re proud of these outstanding individuals in our community!

The One Albuquerque Award is given to members of the community or City employees to celebrate their extraordinary efforts in making Albuquerque a safer and more inclusive place. The award highlights the positive impact individuals can have on communities and calls on others to think about ways to help their neighbors and the city as a whole.

Anyone is welcome to nominate a member of the community or City employee for a One Albuquerque Award. Nominations can be submitted at www.cabq.gov/OneABQAward.
