Why: The Drive Up for a Purpose clothing donation event addresses critical community needs by providing clothing to individuals and families experiencing hardship while improving public spaces and supporting vulnerable populations. With 365 volunteers participating, it represents one of Albuquerque’s largest coordinated student service efforts, creating a meaningful impact in a single day.

Who: The City of Albuquerque’s Civic Engagement Team, in partnership with University of New Mexico Greek Life, is mobilizing 365 student volunteers from fraternities and sororities for a citywide day of service.

What: Drive Up With a Purpose where community members can donate gently used clothing without leaving their vehicles. In addition, UNM Greek Life volunteers will complete service projects across Albuquerque, including park cleanups, animal welfare support, yard cleanups for seniors, and environmental projects.

Where: The primary clothing donation site will be held at the Gateway Center (5400 Gibson SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108). Donors should enter from the west side of the building at the San Mateo and Gibson intersection, proceed east along the north access road (parallel to Gibson), and follow signs to the covered drop-off area near the north entrance by the pedestrian bridge. Volunteers will be on site to assist.
