Join Us at the Zoo for Some New Animal Presentations

Komodo strolls and tortoise chats offer educational experiences for visitors.

Sept. 29, 2021 - The ABQ BioPark is excited to offer some new educational experiences for visitors this fall.

Hang out with us outside the reptile building while keepers and education staff introduce Indah the Komodo dragon. Each Friday at 11 a.m., reptile keepers take Indah on a stroll outside as education staff give a presentation about her species.

Come to the Aldabra tortoise habitat on Thursdays at 11 a.m. to chat with our reptile zookeepers as they feed and care for the tortoises. You'll learn what Aldabra tortoises eat, how they train with the zookeepers and what life is like in the wild.

Both of these experiences are offered seasonally in the spring, summer and fall. As weather becomes cooler, times may be adjusted or the event may be canceled. All shows are dependent on staffing and weather. All presentations are included with admission.
