Ivory Coast Zookeepers Visit ABQ BioPark

View some of the highlights of the two-week visit from our friends from West Africa.

Sept. 5, 2018 - In August 2018, the ABQ BioPark welcomed four zookeepers from Zoo National d'Abidjan in the Ivory Coast. The BioPark has partnered with the West African zoo since 2014 to collaboratively help save the endangered West African slender-snouted crocodile.

During the trip, the Ivorian visitors trained alongside ABQ BioPark Zoo staff, toured the Aquarium and Botanic Garden, and participated in cultural events. The trip was made possible by the New Mexico BioPark Society. The ABQ BioPark would also like to thank Project Mecistops for their assistance.
