2026 Camps

What better place to spend spring break than at the ABQ BioPark? Spring break camps are a fun way to keep your child engaged and in a creative environment. Camp activities include games, crafts, behind-the-scenes tours, and more!  

March 30 through April 2, 2026. Camps take place in two-day session: Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Sessions are available at the Zoo or Aquarium & Botanic Garden.

2026 Sessions

March 30 and 31

8:45 am to 12:15 pm; kindergarten and first grade; Zoo

8:45 am to 3:45 pm; second and third grade, fourth and fifth grade; Zoo and Aquarium & Botanic Garden

April 1 and 2

8:45 am to 12:15 pm; kindergarten and first grade; Aquarium & Botanic Garden

8:45 am to 3:45 pm; second and third grade, fourth and fifth grade; Zoo and Aquarium & Botanic Garden

  • The camp session will be the same at each facility, e.g. the Monday and Tuesday session at the Zoo will be the same schedule as the Wednesday and Thursday session at the Zoo. Please do not sign your child up for two sessions at the same facility
  • Drop off takes place from 8:45 am to 9 am. Pickup for half-day camps is from 12:15 pm to 12:30 pm, and for full-day camps from 3:45 pm to 4 pm

Prices and Registration

$120 per Camper: Grades two through five, two-day camp session, full day

$65 per Camper: Kindergarten and first grade, two-day camp session, half-day

10 percent discount with active New Mexico BioPark Society membership 

Refund Policy

Refunds are given if requested at least four weeks prior to the start of the first day of class, minus a $25 processing fee per class, per child. No refunds will be given if requested within the four weeks prior to the first day of class or once classes begin. For 2026, refunds can be requested until midnight on March 2, 2026. You may still drop the camp after March 2, but will not receive a refund. 

Registration Information

Registration opens at 9 am on February 4, 2026

Registration will be through an ASAP account. You can log in to your existing account, or create a new one, and make sure all of your details are current ahead of time to help ensure a smooth registration once open.

What you need to know

  • An informational e-mail will be sent one week prior to your camp
  • Drop off takes place from 8:45 am to 9 am. Pickup for half-day camps is from 12:15 pm to 12:30 pm, and for full-day camps from 3:45 pm to 4 pm
  • We are not able to offer child care before or after the designated times. Please make arrangements for an on-time drop off and pick up. There will be a $10 fee for late pickup (after 12:30 pm for half-day camps and after 4 pm for full-day camps), plus an additional $5 for every 5 minutes you are late. 
  • Camps take place rain or shine, and some activities are outdoors. Wear layers of clothing. Closed-toe shoes are required for behind-the-scenes tours.
  • Bring a backpack, snack(s), lunch (full-day camps), and water bottle.
  • Please remind your children that cell phone usage will be limited to emergency calls, unless instructed by the teacher for an activity. We also allow phone usage during lunch, but they should be stored in a safe place while doing other activities for camp or during class. 

Spring Wildlife Safari

ABQ BioPark Zoo
Grades K-1, 2-3, 4-5

March 30 and 31, 2026; April 1 and 2, 2026

Go on a safari at the Zoo! Join us for a fun-filled week where you will learn about wildlife in New Mexico and around the world. Discover hippo habits, listen to elephants rumble, and search for camouflaged critters. Campers will learn all about what it takes to keep animals healthy and happy at the Zoo, discover amazing animal adaptations, and explore ecosystems. Zoo camps include up-close encounters with education animal ambassadors, keeper chats, and special guided tours.

ABQ BioPark Aquarium and Botanic Garden

Fill your senses with amazing plants, discover the realm of bugs, uncover the secrets of invertebrates in a pond, and beyond! Learn and practice how scientists help endangered species with staff in the Aquarium and Botanic Garden.
