Considered the “Father of Modern Hot Air Ballooning,” Yost designed and built the earliest iterations of the hot air balloon envelope and system. Visit the Balloon Museum’s new exhibition, Ed Yost: Forever Pushing the Envelope, to see some of his inventions, including an early single-seat “hopper” gondola and Yost’s original balloon deflation device.
