The Other Route 66
June 6, 2026 - January 3, 2027
The Albuquerque Museum presents The Other Route 66: 100 Years of People, Identity, and Place in Albuquerque on view from June 6, 2026–January 3, 2027. Featuring historic objects, photographs, ephemera, neon signs, music, and more from the 352-mile stretch of highway spanning the state, this exhibition will focus on the untold stories of the everyday New Mexicans who built, traveled, and lived on or near the route. Special attention will be given to the sights and sounds from Albuquerque’s stretch of the highway, first from north to south and then east to west, as it transformed from a small town to the state's biggest city.
