The Woods Before Sunrise is a group show of nine New Mexico-based contemporary artists who collectively ask: What makes a “landscape”—and who gets to decide? Offering an expansive exploration into the meanings of place and belonging, this exhibition offers bold new perspectives on the universal themes of sustainability, cultural history, and our personal connections to nature. Co-curated by Nikesha Breeze, featured artists include Breeze, Ron Adams, Karsten Creightney, Rein Whitt-Pritchette, and Paula Wilson, among others. This exhibition is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
