New Mexico Control Voltage, a collective of electronic music performers in New Mexico and beyond, will stage an “ambient immersion” in the gallery. Musicians will set up in two different locations and play overlapping sets of electronically generated sound environments, field recordings, and aural ghosts, summoning ephemeral imagery amongst the great works of art on display.

ChillHouse and The High City Horns is fronted by Hillary Smith, New Mexico’s own soul queen and NM Hall of Fame recipient. ChillHouse is known for powerhouse blues originals, throwback soul, and all things funky. Their energetic delivery and seamless performances have secured them a loyal fan base in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Together, this 10-piece dream team will blow you out of your chairs and onto the dance floor.

Michael Stearns, legendary electronic musician and film composer, along with special guest Chris Meyer’s Alias Zone, will perform a pair of melodic, cinematic sound journeys, in quadraphonic sound. Stearns is perhaps best known for his scores to Ron Fricke’s non-verbal global film masterpieces “Chronos,” “Baraka,” and “Samsara,” as well as soundtracks to Universal’s “Back to the Future, The Ride” and Paramount’s “Star Trek, the Experience.”
