Accreditation

Albuquerque Museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the highest national recognition afforded the nation’s museums. Accreditation signifies excellence to the museum community, to governments, funders, outside agencies, and to the museum-going public.
Board of Trustees

The Albuquerque Museum Board of Trustees is an advisory board whose primary mission is to provide advice to, and advocacy for, the Museum. Meetings are held bi-monthly, beginning in February on the second Wednesday of the month at 11:30 a.m.

History of the Museum

On September 7, 1967, a group of forward-thinking community members opened the doors of the Museum of Albuquerque at the old Albuquerque Municipal Airport (Sunport).
