APD Officers Recover Four Stolen Vehicles at Southwest Home

ALBUQUERQUE – Albuquerque Police Department officers recovered four stolen vehicles on Sunday during a response to call about drug paraphernalia at a home in Southwest Albuquerque.

Upon arrival at the home on Zircon Pl., S.W., APD officers discovered a Chevy Avalanche that appeared to be in the process of being stripped for its parts. Officers learned the vehicle was stolen after checking the vehicle’s VIN in the National Crime Information Center database.

Officers also noticed a suspicious vehicle in the front yard of the residence, which also turned out to be stolen. An auto theft detective was called to the scene, and after obtaining a search warrant, two more stolen vehicles were recovered in the back yard, as well as two stolen license plates and numerous stolen parts not related to the four recovered vehicles.

The investigation into the stolen vehicles is ongoing.
