ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Albuquerque Police Department is looking for dedicated individuals with hearts for service to become police officers in the upcoming 116th cadet class. The Department will host the below listed dates as an opportunity to test applicants:

Testing on these dates includes a physical fitness and written exam.

To become an Albuquerque Police Officer a candidate must be at least 21 years old upon graduation from the academy, must be able to obtain a valid New Mexico driver’s license, must be a U.S. citizen, must have a high school diploma or GED, a felony free record, pass a background and psychological exam amongst other requirements.

Currently there are 36 APD cadets who will graduate from the Department’s academy in March, and the 115th cadet class which started in January currently has 29 cadets.
