What is CPRG graphic that breaks down the program into two phases: Phase 1: Planning Grant (Awarded) with the tile and three components shown in a series of green boxes. This consists of three main components: The first takes place between 2023 and 2024, the Priority Climate Action Plan or PCAP, which is due March 1st, 2024. The second takes place between 2024 and 2025, the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan or CCAP, which is due in the Summer/Fall 2025. The third is the Status report, which is due to the EPA in the Summer/Fall 2027. The report needs to contain updates on all PCAP and CCAP items with next steps and future budget and staffing needs, with an emphasis on data analysis. Phase 2: Implementation Grants (Open) with the tile and single component shown in a series of two orange boxes. The single component, the PCAP Implementation Grant application is due April 1, 2024. The PCAP is a prerequisite. The grant is a 5-year award of $2 to $500 million per application, and the EPA plans to award 30-115 grants.

CPRG Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area CPRG Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area

This map of the Albuquerque MSA highlights the region, which includes three counties: Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia, and Torrance. Within this area, frontline communities are yellow and the rest of the region is white. The map quickly shows how the vast majority of the area is considered frontline communities or using EPA's term, low-income disadvantaged communities. These are communities hit first and worst by the effects of climate change. This map uses Justice40 map data to highlight frontline communities on the map.
