Part-Time Recreation Positions

Flexible schedules make these positions a great fit for students, educators, retirees, and anyone looking for meaningful work.

Recreation Leader

Help lead recreation, enrichment, and youth programs throughout Albuquerque. Recreation Leaders work directly with children and families to create fun, safe, and engaging experiences.

Community Centers

Work at one of Albuquerque's community centers, supporting after-school programs, recreation activities, special events, and community services.

Play+ Before & After School Program

Support elementary-aged children through engaging recreational and educational activities in a safe, supervised environment at participating Albuquerque Public Schools.

Inclusive Recreation

Help create recreational opportunities where people with and without disabilities participate together in an inclusive, welcoming environment. Programs may include sports, arts, games, leisure activities, and special events.

Leadership Opportunities

Qualified applicants may also be considered for Assistant Site Supervisor and Site Supervisor positions.

Job Mentor Program (JMP)

The Job Mentor Program helps Albuquerque high school students prepare for future careers through career-readiness training and paid summer internships.

Summer Internship Program

Students ages 14–18 can apply for seven-week paid summer internships with City departments, government agencies, Albuquerque Public Schools, and nonprofit organizations.

Interns gain valuable workplace experience while earning a paycheck and exploring future career paths.
