Senior Affairs Offers Free Medicare Information and One-on-One Counseling
October and November sessions help older adults understand Medicare options, enrollment and available benefits
The City of Albuquerque Department of Senior Affairs is offering a series of Medicare information events and one-on-one counseling sessions at select senior and multigenerational centers throughout October and November.
With Medicare's annual open enrollment period approaching, these sessions offer older adults an opportunity to ask questions, learn about eligibility and enrollment, and better understand the benefits and coverage options available to them.
Each Medicare information event will be followed by a separate State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) counseling session, where participants can receive personalized, one-on-one assistance. Counseling availability is limited.

The events are free with a Department of Senior Affairs membership. Attendees may also enter for a chance to win a door prize. No enrollment is necessary to win, and personal information will not be disclosed for solicitation purposes.
