APD investigates murder-suicide

ALBUQUERQUE – APD homicide detectives are investigating what is believed to be a murder-suicide.

Officers in the Valley Area Command responded today at 1 p.m. to a 911 call from an individual who discovered two deceased family members at a home located at 243 Romana Ave., S.E., which is in the San Jose neighborhood.

Based on preliminary information on scene, this incident is believed to be a murder-suicide. The victim has been identified as Isabel Sanchez, 48, and the deceased offender is identified as John Chavez, 52.
