APD Burglary Unit arrests offender who stole $10K in collectables and Pokémon cards from Old Town shop
The Albuquerque Police Department has arrested a man who broke into and Old Town business earlier this month stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise.

ALBUQUERQUE – The Albuquerque Police Department has arrested a man who broke into and Old Town business earlier this month stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise.
On Friday, the Burglary Unit arrested Brian Bettis, 33, at his home and served search warrants on his property.
The business helped provide surveillance video and photos and APD received a tip through Crime Stoppers that allowed detectives to quickly identify the offender as Bettis.
After Bettis broke into the business he stole $10,000 worth of collectables including Pokémon cards.
Bettis was booked into MDC this afternoon and is charged with Aggravated Burglary, Larceny (over $2,500) and Criminal Damage (over $1,000).
