APD Arrests Metro 15 Offender: Gabriel Reyes

Albuquerque Police Department arrested Gabriel Reyes as he attempted to get a hotel room to hide from police.

APD officers in the Southeast Area Command arrested Metro 15 Offender Gabriel Reyes as he attempted to get a room at the Holiday Inn, 1921 Yale Blvd SE, to hide from police.

Southeast officers recognized Reyes, 38, as a Metro 15 offender. They located him in the lobby area laying on a luggage cart. He was taken into custody on his two felony warrants for robbery and aggravated assault.

A total of 35 offenders have been arrested since the Metro 15 operation began. The Metro 15 Operation is a targeted component of Mayor Keller’s Violence Intervention Program – a proactive effort to attack violent crime from all sides.

The Metro 15 is a working list of the top 15 violent crime offenders in Albuquerque identified by the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office, the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office, the state Office of Superintendent of Insurance, and APD.
