ALeRT Offender Arrest: Christopher Sidler

Albuquerque Police Department officers arrested Christopher Sidler, 32, for multiple felony warrants.

ALBUQUERQUE – Albuquerque Police Department officers arrested Christopher Sidler, 32, for multiple felony warrants.

Mr. Sidler is an ALeRT offender who was identified by a multi-agency program that tracks offenders who continuously commit crimes in the community.

On 10/09/2021 APD Officers were on patrol in the area of Coors and Quail and observed a male digging in a trashcan under a No Trespassing Sign at the Speedway. Officers stopped the male and identified him as Christopher Sider. Sidler was confirmed to have multiple felony warrants for his arrest and was immediately placed into custody without incident. Speedway personnel did issue a criminal trespass against Sidler for loitering on the property. Sidler was transported to MDC without further incident. This will be Sidler’s  8th arrest since April 2021.

Mr. Sidler has eight felony cases for Possession of a Controlled Substance – Felony (3 Counts), Distribution of a Controlled Substance or Counterfeit Substance, Aggravated Assault (Deadly Weapon), Commercial Burglary and multiple counts of Breaking and Entering. 

Mr. Sidler has been booked into Metropolitan Detention Center. He will appear before a Metropolitan Court Judge in the near future.

As part of the Analysis-Led Recidivism Team (ALeRT), the Albuquerque Police Department collaborates with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, Rio Rancho Police Department, New Mexico State Police, New Mexico Probation & Parole, the FBI and the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office to achieve a high rate of prosecution in addressing community concerns of crime and disorder.
