Mayor Tim Keller restructured the former Human Rights Office into the Office of Equity and Inclusion to better address racial disparities and to achieve equity across all populations and indicators.
The Office of Equity and Inclusion consists of the following liaison offices to build working relationships and make city government more accessible to all:
- Office of Black Community Engagement
- Office of Immigrant & Refugee Affairs
- Office of Native American Affairs
- Office of Asian Pacific Islander Native Hawaiian Affairs
- Office of Financial Empowerment
- Office of Civil Rights | Office of Consumer Protection
In addition, the Office of Equity and Inclusion develops and maintains working relationships with LGBTQ and disability community advocates.
