Party Block Program Overview

Funding support for block parties that build community and activate public space.

What is Party Block?

Party Block is a grant program from the Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency (MRA) that provides $500 sponsorships to help businesses, nonprofits, and neighborhood groups host block parties in designated Metropolitan Redevelopment (MR) Areas.

These community events are hosted on city streets—temporarily closed to vehicle traffic—to ensure accessibility, safety, and a fun, welcoming environment for all. Block parties strengthen connections among neighbors, promote local creativity, and bring energy to public spaces.
