Murals of Possibilities Grant Application

This initiative will support the creation of community murals that celebrate and honor local art, history, and culture.

The Murals of Possibility grant program is separate from the City of Albuquerque’s Public Art program and is focused on supporting private property owners with improvements that beautify their neighborhoods. Private property and business owners interested in commissioning a mural are encouraged to apply. The MRA will provide a grant of $750 to support new murals. Awardees will have full creative control and be responsible for hiring an artist and managing the installation. Funds cannot be used for restoration, reviving, or maintaining existing murals. MRA must approve the final design to ensure alignment with Public Art guidelines.

Recipients must maintain the mural for three years and promptly inform the City of any damage. Additionally, the MRA reserves the right to photograph and reproduce mural images for promotional purposes.

We look forward to supporting our community’s creative initiatives and beautifying our neighborhoods with vibrant murals!
