City of Albuquerque Offers Free Parking for Holiday Shoppers at Local Businesses

Parking will be free for up to two hours at meters on Central Avenue and Parking Lots in Nob Hill, Downtown, and Old Town until January 3

The Department of Municipal Development (DMD) Parking Division and the Cultural Services Department are offering free parking on Central Avenue and in parking lots in Nob Hill, Downtown, and Old Town through Sunday, January 3, 2021. The City of Albuquerque is offering free parking to help local businesses with easy curb-side pick-up and socially distance shopping at local stores during the holiday season.

Every parking meter on Central Avenue is free for two hours and free parking is being offered throughout Nob Hill, Old Town and Downtown at the following locations:

  • Nob Hill – Park in the parking lots behind the Nob Hill Shopping Center on Silver Ave. SE between Carlisle Blvd. SE and Amherst Dr. SE
  • Nob Hill – Park in the parking garage behind the lofts on Central Ave. NE between Wellesley Dr. NE and Tulane Dr. NE
  • Downtown – Park in the parking lots on Central Ave. between 6th St. NW and 7th St. NW
  • Downtown – Park in the parking lots on Central Ave. between 2nd St. SW and 3rd St. SW
  • Old Town – Park in the parking lots on Central Ave. between Romero St. NW and San Felipe St. NW
  • Central Avenue – Park free for two hours at any parking meter on Central Avenue

“We encourage shoppers to ‘Buy Local’ every holiday season and that need has not ever been greater than it is this year.” Said Mayor Tim Keller. “We are helping businesses in every way possible and free parking is just another one of those things we can do to make visiting a local store just a little bit easier.”

Free parking at these locations and Central Ave. started Friday, November 30th and will continue every day through Sunday, January 3, 2021.
