On February 8, 2024, the CPOAB approved the formation of an Ad hoc Committee tasked with developing the Board's policies and procedures in consultation with the Executive Director. The City Council subsequently approved these policies and procedures and enacted them on October 21, 2024, in accordance with the Civilian Police Oversight Ordinance. That committee was dissolved on November 14, 2024. On September 11, 2025, the CPOAB approved the formation of a new Ad hoc Committee to review the Board's policies and procedures.
Meetings were scheduled every other Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. as needed and held in the City Annex Building, 501 Tijeras Ave NW, Suite 2E, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
