ABQ BioPark Resumes Winter Hours
Zoo, Aquarium, and Botanic Garden to be closed on Mondays temporarily.
Resuming on Monday, November 17, the ABQ BioPark Zoo, Aquarium, and Botanic Garden will be closed on Mondays.
All facilities, minus Tingley Beach, will be open 9 am to 5 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, with the last entry at 4:30 pm. Tingley Beach will remain open 7 days a week.
Please note that Cottonwood Café at the Zoo will also be closed beginning on Monday, November 10, for approximately 8 to 10 weeks. Café Chill at the Penguin habitat will be open in lieu of this closure with limited Cottonwood Café menu items.
Throughout fall and winter, you’ll find that many of the animals enjoy the cooler weather, and you’ll likely see different animal activity than in the warmer months. Plus, there are several indoor facilities across the BioPark to visit, such as the Reptile House, Penguin Chill, Life on a Limb, and the conservatories at the Botanic Garden. There’s also no better time to take a stroll through the aquarium!
Starting November 29, the Botanic Garden and Aquarium will close at 4 pm, with the last entry being at 3:30 pm. The Botanic Garden will reopen from 5 pm to 10 pm for River of Lights, a special ticketed event. The Aquarium and Botanic Garden will return to a 5 pm closing time after the New Year.
All BioPark facilities will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and New Year’s day. The BioPark will return to being open seven days a week beginning on President’s Day, Monday, February 16, 2026.
